Anything at all. Your choice. What's the most Missouri way to get around?
Why do I ask, you say? Because I'm tired of hearing that the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is the Ford F-Series. I'm more interested in what the best vehicle for the state should be.
Also, if you think the most Missouri vehicle happens to be the F-Series, then by all means put it down.
And as always...
Choose wisely!
This is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a 51-part series of Opposodes where I gather OppositeLock's view of America in the form of cars. Have at it.

When my family lived in Missouri, we owned a couple of Broncos and then an Expedition. So based on nothing but that, those are my nominations.
Car pictured was not ours.

There are parts, like any big city, but East St. Louis is in Illinois, for what it's worth.

The people I were talking do did refer to East St. Louis. I went about 10 years ago, personally I liked it and didn't notice any scary stuff. But times change I suppose.

V6 Mustang of course. You could buy a V6 Mustang for that much and you are right!

I live in eastern Missouri just by the Mississippi so I can help with this question. Missouri has tons of hilly twisty roads along with miles of straight and flat. I currently have an 08 Focus manual and it has proved time and time again to be fun (not fast), reliable, economical, and versatile. I will own another Focus when I decide to get out of this one and hope it can be an ST in performance blue. I feel that would be the greatest all-around car for where I live.

I wonder why St. Louis gets such bad press then?

There's definitely a decent amount of crime in north St. Louis. Are you saying that the perception is that St. Louis is more dangerous that other cities? I guess I don't see that press, or get that perception. They're not top 10 in murders for 2013, fwiw. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/…

I grew up in the middle of Missouri, so St. Louis is "my" city because I've spent plenty of time there, even though I've never really lived there.

Missouri is a challenge - it's a very heterogeneous place. Hard to pick one vehicle for all the different people/areas of the state. But I'm with you; I want one for the curvy backroads.

Mostly for the twisty roads but also hatchback for hauling assorted things and claimed 32+ highway mpg. I have driven a couple of these...HARD and they are amazingly fun. Turn-in is crazy and like all the reviews say, it feels tail-happy.

"Are you saying that the perception is that St. Louis is more dangerous that other cities?"
Yes that is at least what I have heard from several different people I personally have never experienced it though. I guess you can't trust people and what they tell you sometimes.

I've lived in St. Louis all my life. It's not the safest city in some places, but overall it's okay. You just gotta know where to not go.

I see plenty of Silverados around the entire state. More so than F-Series if my eyes don't mistake me.
This generation seems to be the most common though:
